Best of St Pete Beach Bars and Treasure Island Area Nightlife

[ad_1]

St. Pete Beach and Treasure Island are both popular Florida vacation destinations because of their beautiful beaches and year-round sunny weather. Located just outside of St. Petersburg, they’re also within close proximity to many St. Petersburg attractions. But when it comes to nightlife, you don’t have to leave the beach either. While the area is known for day-time “fun in the sun,” there are plenty of places to go out on St. Pete Beach.

Woody’s Waterfront Bar – The third of a three-bar cluster on Blind Pass Channel, Woody’s Waterfront Bar is a longtime local favorite. Established in 1945, it’s one of the area’s oldest beach bars. Known better as a family restaurant, Woody’s still serves as a great spot for nightlife with nightly entertainment Wednesday through Sunday. Dining outside offers the best experience as you can grab a couple of their signature margaritas and share a laugh with friends. The breeze from the water will cool you right off, even as the night heats up!

Ricky T’s – This is where the locals go, and you can see it just by driving by – the outside area is always jam packed with locals ready to start their weekends early, and right! Located on Treasure Island and just minutes from Blind Pass road that connects Treasure Island to St. Pete Beach it’s within walking distance of many Treasure Island Condos and it’s a short trolley ride from St. Pete Beach. Typically attracts a 30+ crowd.

Sloppy Pelican – This is fun one to go to by foot or by boat! Located right on Blind Pass Channel, you can dock your boat and come in for a drink, or have dinner. Their food is quite good, and far better than the typical “bar food.” They have College Nights too, so the younger crowd can come and enjoy a night out. Wednesday through Friday nights also include live music on the deck from 4-10pm, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 1-10 pm. Also be sure to check out their newest events – their Saturday Pub Crawl starting at 7 pm, and their Sunday Sunset Parties.

Gators – Located on Johns Pass on Treasure Island and right outside Madeira Beach, Gators is know for football game watch parties, live entertainment, and bikini contests. College Nights are on Mondays, but outside of that, this well-known bar is frequented by locals young and old. And just like Sloppy Pelican, you can come by foot or by boat.

Undertow – A popular daytime beach destination (it’s located directly on the Gulf), this St. Pete Beach hot spot also caters to the night-time crowd. Spacious with an entire room full of billiards, it’s a great place to hang out with friends and walk along the beach. Cool, laid-back, just the way both the locals and visitors like it here.

Caddy’s – Located on Sunset Beach in between Treasure Island and St. Pete Beach, Caddy’s, just like Undertow, is known as one of THE day-time hot spots on the beach. During the day, particularly on weekends, this beach bars caters to the younger 20 and 30 something crowd, but at night, people of all ages enjoy the food, beach volleyball, and live entertainment here.

Philthy Phil’s – Another waterfront beach bar, Philthy Phil’s is located on Blind Pass Channel in between Treasure Island and St. Pete Beach. It’s right across the street from Sloppy Pelican too, making it the ideal spot for some bar hopping. If you’re into karaoke, check out Philthy Phil’s on Tuesday nights, or Singer-Songwriter Open Mic on Thursday nights. Also featuring live entertainment Wednesday through Sunday, Philthy Phil’s is great for both family dinner, and couples.

Wahoo’s on the Island – Located right across from Treasure Island’s famous Treasure Island Tower, Wahoo’s on the Island is a favorite among locals and visitors. Offering karaoke Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, along with a Piano Bar Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, you’re assured some quality live entertainment any night of the week, including Friday and Saturday’s Dueling Piano Show!
